It's strange; Azure is consistently voted as being a preferred cloud platform over AWS, among technical people; but I keep seeing companies choose to move from Azure to AWS...
I suspect it's a case of people being promoted into senior positions over time, and following what they know, and deciding that as the tech stack.
People of a certain age stick with what they encountered first in a cloud platform, and are now elevated to CTOs etc. Full disclosure -I am 53, have worked with AWS and Azure.
It's not really an appraisal of what is the correct platform to use. It's down to familiarity.
Which is sad; anyone who has worked with the Mock Lambda Test Tool, will understand the pain of developing serverless on AWS, compared to serverless on Azure.
